YaPing Lu is a passionate advocate for music education and the owner and the lead instructor of Adagio by C Piano Studio. With over 25 years of experience, she has taught students of all ages and skill levels, offering a diverse and personalized curriculum that supports their unique needs and interests. Her students consistently earn top ratings from ABRSM, Certificate of Merit, and NFMC Junior Festival, and have won awards in competitions such as the MTAC Pasadena Branch Keyboard Theme Festival, Southwestern Youth Music Festival, and Musical Arts Competitions of Orange County.

As a collaborative artist, YaPing performs regularly with a wide range of instrumentalists, vocalists, and choirs at venues such as the Colburn School of Music and the Pasadena Conservatory of Music. Her extensive choral accompaniment experience includes ensembles such as the Arcadia Bel Canto Chamber Singers, East Valley Children’s Choir, and San Gabriel Children’s Chorus. In addition to her performance work, she has also served as concert program coordinator for events including Intersections at the Pacific Asia Museum in Pasadena and Piano 300 Years at the OCAC Cultural Center of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office.

YaPing holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Southern California, where she studied with Bernadene Blaha. She has completed Level 1 Orff-Schulwerk teacher training and is an active member of both the Music Teachers’ Association of California (MTAC) and the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA). She currently serves as NFMC Junior Festival Pasadena Area Chair, Treasurer of MTAC Pasadena Branch, and as a part-time faculty member at Pasadena City College.
